Taught by the Sharper Edge Skating School Staff.

Why let the kids have all the fun? Come learn how to skate or play hockey!

Sharper Edge is now offering a Woman’s Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey class on Sunday nights. The Learn to Skate program is for all level of skaters. Classes are organized by skating ability. The Learn to Play Hockey program consists of 3 skill sets.

The first part is skating drills with stick and puck. Skaters learn to stick handle, shoot and control the puck.

The second part is hockey edge skills (ex. Crossovers, turns.) A skater’s quality of skating is as important as stick handling skills. The Hockey Edge Class is an advanced skills class that works on edges, crossovers, advance turns and upper level skating skills. The focus of this class is on edge quality, control and proper skating technique. This is a unique class that offers each skater the opportunity to improve his/her skills while learning the technical aspect of each drill.

The third part is scrimmage. At the end of class, there is a 20 minute full ice supervised scrimmage.
